You might have seen it on social media: The Bali Swing. In other words, the coolest swing on Bali! You swing high above a cliff, the trees and a river and you have a spectacular view. I’ve been swinging here and it was amazing! The Bali swing should not be skipped when you visit Ubud, Bali!
The Bali Swing: swinging over Ubud!
The Bali Swing: swinging over Ubud, Bali
There are many swings on Bali, but the Bali Swing is an absolute number one! The location of these swings is phenomenal and you swing very high above a cliff in between the trees. The Bali Swing can be easily reached from Ubud. With a taxi (costs of a return trip: 200.000 RHP) it will take you 20 minutes to get to the Bali Swing. Pay attention when you book a taxi, because not everybody in Ubud knows this swing. It is recommended to show a picture of the swing you want to visit! The reason of this is that the Bali Swing only recently opened in 2017.
The Bali Swing, Ubud
It’s more than just swings. It kind of looks like a fun playground for adults. The entrance fee is 35 dollars per person and for this fee you have unlimited access to the Balinese buffet, you can enjoy unlimited snacks and drinks (no alcohol). You can also stay as long as you like and go for as many swings as you want. How fun is that!
The swings at The Bali Swing
You will find a total of 5 swings at the Bali Swing and these are all different in height. You will find a swing of 5 meters, 10 meters, 15 meters, 20 meters and the highest swing is a whopping 78 meters! A good tip is to start at the lowest swing and slowly build your way up to the highest swing. The lowest swing will face you towards the restaurant so you won’t see the cliffs. This is a good way to get used to these swings. You will keep taking a higher swing and this is the least scary way. This way, you slowly will get used to the height. At every swing, you will get a strap around your waist!
The highest swing at the Bali Swing Ubud
The highest and last swing is really scary and everyone start screaming, but it’s just so cool! You will definitely regret it if you do not try this one. The view from every swing is phenomenal but from this high swing it is simply amazing! You feel butterflies in your stomach and the adrenaline starts rushing through your entire body. Everything here is taken care of in a very professional way and you are well secured when you sit on the swing. You will easily spend a couple of hours here and you will return to Ubud filled with adrenaline. Another great thing about this is that a part of the profits will go to charity.
You are allowed to take pictures everywhere on the premises and staff is also super helpful when it comes to this. Another good thing is that you won’t have to pay a ridiculous price for the pictures afterwards.
