Bagh-e Eram, Persian garden in Iran
In Islamic culture, a garden represents the earthly version of paradise. The word ‘paradise’ itself stems from Persian and can be translated as ‘enclosed garden’. Eram is the Persian version of the Arabic word “Iram”, which is “heaven” in the Koran. The name Eram garden is a reference to the beauty of the garden which reflects “heaven”. A very fitting name indeed!
What can you see in the Bagh-e Eram Persian garden in Iran?
A lot of Iranians in Shiraz use this botanical garden to relax, meaning mainly to sit and stroll around. The garden with the pond brings much needed refreshment.
